The 2010 Tour Down Under sees the UCI ProTour bringing together the most prestigious teams and the world’s best riders, including Lance Armstrong, to compete in a race throughout the city streets and regions of South Australia.

CAN YOU HELP?

1 in 10 adults and 1 in 9 children live with asthma in Western Australia; this makes the disease highly prevalent in the community. This means that withinthe cycling and HBF Freeway Bike Hike for Asthma community, many of you will be living with asthma. We’re searching for Event Ambassadors to share their story about the disease and their ride in the event. If you, or a family member is riding in the event and would like to help the Foundation teach people more about the disease by becoming an Event Ambassador, please email events@asthmawa.org.au

During the 2009 HBF Freeway Bike Hike for Asthma the event team responded to several asthma related emergencies on the course. This was at one event on one day. Imagine living with the disease for your entire life and having to learn how to manage asthma and recognise symptoms before they get too serious – this is life for more than 225,000 Western Australians.
