David is one of Australia's most experienced Triathlon Administrators having held the positions of:

  • Executive Officer of Triathlon WA 1997-99.
  • Chief Executive Officer, WA Cycling Federation 2002-2004
  • Event Manager QANTAS 2000 ITU Triathlon World Championship.
  • Venue House Manager SOCOG - Triathlon - Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
  • Team Manager Australian Triathlon Team - 2001 & 2003 World Long Course Championship Fredericia Denmark, Ibiza Spain.
  • Team Manager Australia 2003 World Triathlon Championship Queenstown New Zealand.
  • Race Director 2001- 2007 Channel Nine City to Surf Fun Run.
  • Event Coordinator Perth St George-BRW Corporate Triathlon.
  • Race Director Freeway Bike Hike.

Matthew Bisset
Matthew is the latest addition to the TriEvents event management team. Matthew comes to TriEvents with wide variety of experience including:

  • Race Director - Melbourne Triathlon Series 2000-2003
  • Event founder and Race Director - Surf Coast International Triathlon 2001-2005
  • Assistant Race Director - Canberra Half Ironman, Rydges Capricorn Half Ironman 2003-2006
  • Event Manager - Freeway Bike Hike for Asthma 2005-2006
  • Founder and Director of Australia's Premier online entry facility - Register Now
  • Partner - Finish Line Timing 2001-2006

Andrew Appleby
Andrew joined the TriEvents team in January 2007. Andrew has a varied background having worked in the hospitality, construction, and telecommunications industries. Andrew became interested in events management while completing a degree at Curtin University (Tourism Management). Andrew took the opportunity while studying Project Management to do work experience with the Freeway Bike Hike for Asthma 2005-2006 which including managing the Freeway Bike Hike Shop in 2006. Following this involvement Andrew gained intermittent work at various sporting events before formally joining TriEvents in 2007. Andrew has assumed an assistant role but has also taken on the following responsibilities:

  • Shop Manager – Freeway Bike Hike for Asthma 2006
  • Assistant to the Event Manager – Freeway Bike Hike 2007
  • Race Director – Town of Cambridge Junior Triathlon 2007
  • Operations Centre Manager – HBF City to Surf 2007
  • Event Manager – Albany Port to Point Fun Run 2007
